Barbara Graves-Poller

Barbara Graves-Poller is a Senior Counsel in the Appeals Division of the New York City Law Department and Chair of the Women in the Courts Task Force at the City Bar, the committee that has organized public programs on language access in the courts for many years.  Prior to joining the Law Department, Ms. Graves-Poller advocated for low-income New Yorkers at The Legal Aid Society’s Harlem Community Law Office and MFY Legal Services.  She also served a variety of commercial clients while in private practice before transitioning to full-time public service.  Ms. Graves-Poller earned her law degree and a master’s degree in human rights education at New York University.
