ABOUT THE TRAINER: Gene A. Johnson, Jr. has nearly twenty years experience in the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) field as a mediator, conflict consultant, trainer, election supervisor and administrator. Mr. Johnson brings a varied and broad base of procedural knowledge, as well as logic and analytic skills, to resolve disputes. He is known for his ability to help parties get to “the root” of their dispute while assisting them with long lasting and mutually agreeable solutions. Mr. Johnson is Certified as an Initial Mediation Trainer for the Community Dispute Resolution Centers Program of the Unified Court System of the State of New York, New York State certified ombudsman, multi-party facilitator and a parliamentarian (Robert Rules of Order).

This training includes:
*Extensive Mediation Training over the course of 4 days including theory, lecture, role plays, demonstration, and group exercises
* Dispute Resolution Skills and Techniques for helping people in conflict
* Experienced, professional NYS Certified Trainer
*After completing the training, individuals may be eligible to participate in an apprenticeship and volunteer with the LIDRC. *Final Acceptance to an apprenticeship or to the volunteer panel is at LIDRC ‘s discretion.

Payment must be received no later than January 20, 2017.
Refund Policy: Cancellations must be in writing. To cancel your registration, request must be received by our office in writing up to 30 days in advance of the 1st day of training, a 100% refund will be returned to you; a partial refund of 50% will be re-turned to you if cancelled within less than 30 days of the 1st day of training. Once training has begun, no refund is given. LIDRC reserves the right to cancel training at any time due to lack of registrants. If in the event LIDRC cancels the training, a full refund will be returned to you.
