The program will provide a framework for how attorneys and legal professionals can develop relationships that will aid in the efficient and effective management of caseloads. It will provide a discussion on how attorneys can work with paralegals and legal professionals, while avoiding the pitfalls that can occur due to the ethical rules and statutes prohibiting the unauthorized practice of law by non-lawyers. The panelists will review the ABA Model Rules, New York state best practice and court decisions regarding the unauthorized practice of law, managing workload, and delegating tasks.
