Dear MBBA Members and Supporters:

#MBBAGives is a new initiative created to give MBBA Members and Supporters the opportunity to give back to communities of color in New York City. Please review and share the information below about Legal Outreach, one of our partner pipeline organizations. Mentoring is an important way to give back and is in line with 3 of the 4 areas of focus for the MBBA this year: Pipeline, Presence, and Partnership.

Please email us at info@mbbanyc.org with your suggestions and feedback!

In service, Paula T. Edgar, MBBA President (2016-2018)

Legal Outreach prepares high school students from underserved neighborhoods in New York City to compete at high academic levels by using intensive legal and educational programs as a tools for fostering vision, developing skills, enhancing confidence, and facilitating the pursuit of higher education.

CONNECT with a NYC high school student, positively IMPACT their lives, and INSPIRE them to pursue greater heights!

Mentoring requires a minimum commitment of four hours per month (but we are very happy to encourage more contact!)
Mentors are asked to make a three year commitment to work with students from sophomore through senior years to develop a deep and impactful relationship.
