Nicole L. Arrindell is currently Associate General Counsel in the Office of the General Counsel at the New York City Department of Consumer Affairs. In this role, Nicole manages a team that helps consumers resolve complaints against city businesses and she manages two litigation teams that investigate and prosecute illegal, deceptive, and fraudulent business practices, with a focus on schemes and scams directed at vulnerable populations, immigrants, and low-income communities.
Before joining city government, Nicole was a Senior Staff Attorney in the Consumer Rights
Project at MFY Legal Services (“MFY”), where she represented low-income and
underrepresented New Yorkers facing legal issues such as unfair debt collection practices,
identity theft, foreclosure, and foreclosure rescue scams.
